MIRROR

Imagine if mirrors were to reflect your characteristics and not your actual physical form, what you think you would see as your reflection. I do know what I will see. I will see Nenita as my reflection. She is a friend of mine from my new office. Now you are confused as to why will I see her, right? You will get an answer to that just read on.
All my life (I mean not that I am too old, but still)I have meet people who had similar habits or few similar likings. So I was always very curious as to why would that happen? Isn’t every human being supposed to be unique?  Then I was introduced to the existence of something called sun- signs. Something which segregates people as per their birth dates. I read a book about it to know more and found it difficult to believe that so many millions on people across the world are just categorized in few sun-signs.  So I just left it there at the back of my mind.
Then in my college I meet a girl who was born on the same day as me. She was the first person i meet with whom I shared my birthday and actually it was fun to say “Same to you”  to  someone who wishes you for your birthday. When I got to know more I realized that we had few common habits and characteristics. This lit a bulb in my head about the sun-sign factor. I decided to read the book again this time with more interest.
Years passed by until recently when I joined my new office it happened again.  We were all just having our lunch jibber jabbering about something when I and Nenita happen to say the same thing at the same time. It was a coincidence (or as we thought) and smiled as each other. Few days later it happened again and again and few more times. Isn’t it weird for such reoccurring coincidence? One day I asked about her birthdate out of curiosity. And tadaaaaa!!! She turned out to be a Capricorn herself. So the sun-sign thing is somewhere true. But it didn’t stop there at having similar thoughts.  As we got to know each other we realized we are very similar in lot many ways. We like same things we dislike same things, sometimes our design solutions also end up being similar. At times, one of us says something and other just smiles (which say dude same pinch, good that we don’t pinch every time) forget all these things about likes and dislikes , even our desires , lot of the small small wishes those devilish thoughts are similar too. Isn’t that real freaky? It’s like being naked in front of someone.
Somewhere I really like that we are so alike, and somewhere I hate it too.  It’s like I have lost my individuality, my uniqueness. It’s as if god made one soul and split it into two. I don’t know if the whole sun-sign thing justifies it all, but for me it’s like I have found a friend who just knows me to the core by default. It’s like she is the mirror of my own soul.
By the way we were planning to ask our respective mothers, if we had any twin sister who was lost in kumbh ka mela. But then thought better not to get bashed up.

Wish you find a mirror image of your soul too!! Keep looking!!

So ya!! I am Nenita and yes I agree to everything she has said. In all my years so far I haven't found anyone who is just like me. In more than one or two ways. It is nice in the beginning and then it starts getting freaky. Can't hide myself from you you see :P It is like our brains were tuned to think the same way. I did ask my mum and she says, "I'm glad be separated you two. Otherwise you'd be fighting all your lives" :P
Whatever it is, at the end of the day we are just Awesome! Even though we are two of a kind, we are still one of a kind :) so let's be AWESOME together!! :D
Be your amazing self Darshi!! (Praising you is like praising myself :P)
